Hiroshima

On January 30th at 8:30 Catherine and I were starting our 3 days 2 nights fieldtrip with our whole entire grade. In school we were learning about the world wars, so we went to HIROSHIMA. We had a blast. To get there we took the shinkasen (bullet train) for 3 hours. When we arrived we were at Himeji. When we were there we had a tour of the Himeji castle which was for social studies. We learned about the castle’s formidability. Then we had 1 hour just to hang out with our friends around Himeji. Then we took another shinkasen to Hiroshima. When we got to the station we took a bus to the hotel. We stayed at the Prince Hotel. It was really nice. That night we went to our LASS ( language arts social studies) classes and read the story of Sadako. She got sick from the bomb and her friends told her to make thousand cranes and make you can make a wish. She made about 600 cranes then she died. The story is soooooooo sad. Our teacher had to stop reading it because he was crying. After that we went to dinner and made 1,000 cranes as a grade. That night we signed each others shirt that we got. It was so much fun. The next day we went to the peace park. We saw where to bomb was actually dropped. We went to a museum and a survivor talked to us. Her story was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad. Then we presented our cranes to Sadako’s memorial. Then we had 2 hours by ourselves to eat lunch. After lunch we went to a scince museum. It really wasn’t a science museum it was just fun stuff to do. Then went back to the hotel and ate dinner. After dinner my friends and I just played quiet games for our freetime. It was fun. That Gabby my roomate straighten my hair. It was Super Straight. The next day we had to check out of our hotel room. Then we went to Miyajima island. It is one of Japan most prettiest place. It is a sacred island. No one is allowed to get sick, die, or give birth on the island. There werer deer roaming around on the island. It was a nice island. Then we took the shinkasen home for 4 hours. Then Catherine and I came home. It was soooo much fun.
