St. Patrick’s Day

We went to the St Patrick’s Day parade in Omotosando. Surprisingly big parade. As it is in the US, everybody is in green with big hats and big hair. It just looks funnier in Japan. Maybe because you don’t expect it in Japan. The parade was just like it was in the US with marching bands, cheerleaders, Irish dancers, U2 look a likes, bagpipes (Is that Scotish?) and Guinness. Song, dance and beer now that is Irish. I read an article about Guinness collecting signatures in support of Proposition 3-17 (get it?) to make St Patrick’s day a federal holiday in the US. Apparently they feel that people need time to recover. See the March 20 album on the right. Beannachtai na Feile Padraig.
