ALABAMA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Great start to the year. Continuing with my sports championship tours I went to see the best one yet – the BCS College Football National Championship. This was certainly the most meaningful since Alabama was in it. I went to the game with Raymond my buddy from Bama who lives in LA. It was amazing at the Rose Bowl. The atmosphere was incredible. As with any college football game, there is a lot a passion more so for two teams with so much tradition. There was also some healthy sibling rivalry – my brother Jason went to Texas.

Alabama played Texas in a roller coaster. Colt McCoy Texas QB was hit early and knocked out of the game. Alabama went on to score 24 straight points to make it 24-6 at the half. Alabama must have been rehearsing their victory speeches when Texas with their frosh QB Gilbert came back to within three to 24-21. This kid had alot of heart but the Alabama D which got us to this game took over and forced two key TOs to end the game at 37-21.
